 Veronica Gutierrez is a community engagement and marketing professional in parks, recreation, and public service, with a focus on connecting people to programs, spaces, and opportunities that improve quality of life. Through her work, she has seen firsthand the challenges cities and organizations face in gathering meaningful community input, often relying on surveys and meetings that don’t fully capture diverse voices.

She founded EngageMap to reimagine how communities share feedback, making the process more visual, accessible, and engaging. By allowing people to place ideas directly on a map, EngageMap helps organizations better understand not just what communities want, but where they want it.

Her work is rooted in a belief that strong communities are built through participation, belonging, and thoughtful design. EngageMap reflects that vision by helping cities, nonprofits, and organizations turn community input into actionable insights that support planning, funding, and real-world impact.
